Hold Onto Your Rumble Paks: A Nintendo 64 Classic May Be Coming Soon

A new trademark in Japan suggests the rumors are true.

Digital Trends reports that Nintendo recently filed a new trademark application for the N64 console, controllers, and games. For those unfamiliar, the 64-bit console included fan favorites like Super Mario 64, GoldenEye, Banjo-Kazooie, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

The application is no guarantee until the gaming giant makes it official, but with E3 (Fashion Week for gamer geeks) coming up in June, the timing definitely sets the stage for a big announcement.

For those of you still looking to get your hands on the 8-bit original (without paying after-market prices), Nintendo has already announced that it's re-releasing the NES Classic on June 29. Game on.
